Well before my car broke down AGAIN today, I went to see Wedding Crashers.
Two 30-something guys carry on the tradition of crashing weddings to meet
girls end up finding their true loves in the process.
Wedding Crashers is a bit long (clocking in at over 2 minutes) but is well
worth sitting through.
Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are fantastic! They have wonderful comedic
timing and rapid fire delivery. Many of the scenes of the two of them riffing off
each other are like watching a stand up comedy team. This is an R rated
film, and deservedly so. The humour is laden with sexual innuendo so if you are
somewhat sensitive, you might want to know that going in. Some of the dialogue
is so fast and so out on a limb that you have to stop and go...wait a minute,
did he just say what I think he said?
Vaughn is by far the funnier of the two, he has the best dialogue and he
plays a more outrageous character, but he does have a few nice serious moments as
well.
Wilson is more the straight man in the film, but still has more than his fair
share of comedic moments, most of them with Vaughn.
Jane Seymore is a hoot as a horny wife of a Congressman played well by
Christopher Walken. Rachel McAdams was very likable in her role as one of the
female leads and can hold her own with the boys.
A couple of nice cameos arrive to lots of laughs and applause as well.
You will definitely need to be ready to laugh if you see this film and make
sure not to take anyone with a highly sensitive nature with you!
