Mr & Mrs Smith

A Husband and Wife married for about 6 years find themselves drifting apart
and eventually find out that they have both been living dual lives as a married
couple and highly trained assassins.

There were a lot of things I liked about this film.  Both Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie are wonderful in this film.  Despite all of the tabloid frenzy
surrounding them, they both give great performances.  Their timing is great, both
with each other and separately, the witty humour is right on time and they
really do have great chemistry, not even sexually, they have that too but just as
a team they work well together.  Vince Vaughn is also great, he isn't in a
whole lot of scenes but he does steal the ones he is in, as he often does.

The director, Doug Liman is obviously an actor's director.  He really got
great work out of all his actors.  By far the best I have seen from all of them
for some time.

There is also a lot of action for those who are into that - lots of stuff
blows up so the action junkies can get their fill.

What is not so good:  There are huge bullet holes in the plot (bullet holes
get it?  bwaaah -  ok maybe not) which are never really explained, but you can
kind of suspend disbelief as the dialogue is witty and cutting and a real joy
to listen to.

They really needed to do some looping on this film, a lot of times the
dialogue gets lost in the background as the music, effects, etc. are too
overpowering.

The plot is extremely slow to unfold and makes the pace of the film a litty
drag-y at times.

Overall it was worth the ticket price and even if it isn't your type of film
Brad and Angelina are so beautiful it is worth it to spend 2 hours looking at
them!

Also saw the new trailer for Viggo's HISTORY OF VIOLENCE- which rawks!  Looks
like it is going to be a wonderful film and the acting looks great for the
little bit we got to see in the trailer.  Also AGAIN the Flightplan
trailer....sigh....Sean Bean in uniform, they like to torment me don't they!
